1. Accepting these terms
By creating an account, browsing listings, or posting a review on RateMyStylist, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Accounts are for a single person and may not be shared.
- You must provide accurate information when you sign up.
- You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
- You may close your account at any time from your dashboard.
3. Reviews and content
Reviews must reflect a genuine, first-hand experience. You retain ownership of what you post, but grant RateMyStylist a license to display and distribute it on the platform.
We remove content that violates our guidelines, including fake reviews, harassment, or content posted to manipulate a professional’s reputation.
4. Professional listings
Professionals may claim and manage their listing after verifying their identity. Claiming a listing does not allow a professional to alter or remove genuine customer reviews.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the platform. This includes scraping data, attempting to bypass security, impersonating others, or using RateMyStylist for anything unlawful.
6. Disclaimers and liability
RateMyStylist is a directory and review platform. We do not provide beauty services ourselves and are not responsible for the services provided by professionals listed on the platform.
